about

Dr Tinashe Jakwa is an Australian writer and dreamer of Zimbabwean origin. She has much to say about many things and is ne’er in doubt about the veracity of her claims, except on the odd (plentiful) occasion. Trained as a political scientist and international relations scholar, she has since left the academy while retaining (some of) her previous scholarly preoccupations.

Tinashe’s writings and commentary have been published here and there, mostly when she was still a spring chicken, but she has also retained some of the thematic preoccupations of her youth. She started ‘The Antipodean’ to write unencumbered by the follies of contemporary publishing and to nurture her nascent romanticism, idealism, and belief in the possibility of utopia.
